Independent wealth management with a tax focus. As a CFP® and Enrolled Agent, we handle the portfolio, the planning, and the tax — so the prudent decisions get made, and you get your time back.
Evenings disappear into tax rules, allocation tweaks, and second-guessing. Time you wanted for family, travel, and rest.
A Roth conversion done wrong. An RSU vesting mistimed. A rollover that triggers a bill. Small missteps, outsized consequences.
Most firms run every client through the same template. The decisions that actually move the needle — tax positioning, equity comp, retirement sequencing — only pay off when the plan is built around your specifics.
You shouldn't have to choose between your financial future and your actual life. Our job is to give you back the hours — and deliver the better outcome.— The Founding Principle

For Pre-RetireesAs an Enrolled Agent, tax strategy isn't outsourced — it's built into the plan. Year-round, not April-only.
IntegratedFederal and state return preparation by a CFP® and Enrolled Agent. Often where our relationships start — the return becomes the conversation, and the conversation becomes the plan. Available stand-alone or integrated. Local tax prep in Irwin, PA →
Stand-Alone or IntegratedFor high-earning professionals: cash flow, equity comp, debt strategy, real estate, insurance. A roadmap that gets you compounding early.

CoordinatedYou're early or mid-career, you earn well, and you want confidence that the prudent decisions are being made — without giving up your weekends to figure it out yourself. We build the structure so compounding works for you from day one. As your career evolves and retirement eventually comes into view, we're already in position to carry the plan forward.
The years before and through retirement can be the single most valuable planning period of your financial life — and we have a repeatable system for each phase. Taxable account design, Roth conversion ladders, and 0% capital-gains harvesting before the window closes; withdrawal sequencing, RMD strategy, and legacy planning once you're in. Whether retirement is ten years away, one year away, or already here, we're there for all of it.
We meet to learn about your situation, your goals, and what's on your mind. No answers yet — this step is about listening and deciding together if we're the right fit.
We build a plan specific to your income, tax picture, and goals, walk through it with you, and put it into action — opening accounts, repositioning assets, and executing the tax strategy.
We manage the portfolio, the tax strategy, the reviews, and the coordination. You get your evenings back.
Most people don't want to become financial experts. They want to know the prudent decisions are being made — and then get on with their lives. Strategic Wealth and Tax was built around that idea.
As an independent CFP® and Enrolled Agent, I run the planning, the portfolio, and the tax strategy as a single, coordinated practice. The firm is intentionally small. Few clients, deep work, decades-long relationships.
My job is to make sure that, in twenty years, you look back and find that the decisions were made well — the rollovers, the conversions, the equity-comp windows, the tax positioning — without any of it costing you the years you were trying to enjoy along the way.
Outside the firm, I'm a husband and dad, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast, and a persistent golfer. I live in Irwin, PA and serve clients locally and across the country.
Yes — though selectively. Strategic Wealth and Tax is a boutique practice by design, so we add a limited number of new client relationships each year to ensure existing clients keep getting the attention they signed up for. The best way to find out if we're a fit is to schedule an introductory call.
We work primarily on a fee basis — flat fees for tax preparation and planning, and an asset-based fee for investment management. When insurance products like annuities or life insurance are genuinely the right tool for a specific planning need (such as raising a retirement income floor), commissions may apply. In all cases, compensation is disclosed up front, and recommendations are made under a fiduciary standard.
A Certified Financial Planner™ is the credential for comprehensive financial planning — retirement, investments, taxes, estate, and insurance. An Enrolled Agent (EA) is the highest credential the IRS confers on a tax professional, licensed to represent taxpayers at every level of the IRS. Holding both means tax strategy and financial planning are coordinated under one roof, not handed off between specialists.
Our office is at 1781 Arona Road, Suite 3b, Irwin, PA 15642, in Westmoreland County, about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh. We meet local clients in person in Irwin, North Huntingdon, Greensburg, and the broader Pittsburgh area, and serve clients across all 50 states via secure portal and video meetings.
Fees depend on the work and the complexity. Tax preparation has a flat fee per return based on what's involved. Financial planning and investment management fees are quoted up front after we understand your situation. We share specific pricing during the introductory call — never as a surprise on the invoice.
Two groups, in depth: busy professionals and families in their accumulation years (often with equity compensation, growing complexity, and not enough time), and clients within ten years of retirement — where the highest-leverage planning happens through Roth conversions, taxable account design, and withdrawal sequencing.
Introductory meetings are free, low-pressure, and roughly 30 minutes. We listen to your situation, your goals, and what's on your mind — and decide together whether we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll often point you to someone who is.
An introductory conversation is free, private, and low-pressure. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you — and often point you to someone who is.
