Federal and state tax returns prepared by a CFP® and IRS Enrolled Agent. Year-round planning, not seasonal data entry — and your return is read by someone who understands the whole financial picture.
Strategic Wealth and Tax is based in Irwin, PA, in the heart of Westmoreland County. Our office on Arona Road serves individuals, families, and small business owners across the Pittsburgh metro — including North Huntingdon, Greensburg, Murrysville, Jeannette, Trafford, and Penn Township.
We work the way a Western Pennsylvania tax preparer should: in person when you want, by secure portal or video when you don't, and on a first-name basis either way. Tax returns prepared by your CFP® and Enrolled Agent — not handed off to a contractor or a chatbot.
For clients outside our immediate area, we serve all 50 states via encrypted document exchange and video meetings.
Personal returns, small business returns, and the year-round planning that turns next year's filing into next year's strategy. Every return is reviewed by a CFP® and Enrolled Agent.
Form 1040 and all schedules. Pennsylvania state returns (PA-40) and local Earned Income Tax filings for Westmoreland and Allegheny County residents. Multi-state returns for clients who work across PA, OH, WV, and MD.
Schedule C, K-1 reporting, partnership and S-corp returns, quarterly estimated tax planning, and depreciation strategy. Designed for solo professionals, consultants, and small business owners across the Pittsburgh area.
Capital gains, dividend, and interest reporting. Social Security taxation, pension and 401(k) withdrawals, RMDs, and Roth conversion reporting. The kind of return seasonal preparers tend to undercharge on — and oversimplify.
RSU vesting, ISO and NQSO exercises, ESPP qualifying vs. disqualifying dispositions, and the AMT trap that catches Pittsburgh-area engineers and executives every year.
Pre-year-end conversations about Roth conversions, capital-gains harvesting, charitable strategy, and bunching deductions. The work that turns filing into outcome — not just compliance.
Catching errors in past filings, recovering missed credits, and getting up to date on years you haven't filed. Penalty abatement requests handled directly with the IRS by your Enrolled Agent.
Most preparation shops are seasonal: open in February, packed in April, closed in May. We're a full-year financial planning firm — tax prep is one service in a larger practice.
Your return is filed by the same person who understands your investments, retirement plan, and equity comp — not a seasonal preparer who sees the forms in isolation.
Enrolled Agents are federally licensed by the IRS and bound to rigorous continuing-education requirements. We can represent you before the IRS at any level.
We retain context from year to year. A preparer who knows your history spots more — and prevents the same missed deductions from happening twice.
Every return is also a scan: Roth opportunities, harvesting losses, HSA eligibility, conversion room, missed deductions. Filing this year — and setting up next.
Tax preparation is priced by complexity, not hourly. Simple W-2 returns are at the lower end; returns with self-employment, multiple states, equity compensation, or significant investment activity are priced higher. We share the specific fee before any work begins — no surprise invoices. Most clients find our pricing comparable to a local CPA and well below national franchises for the same scope of work.
Yes — federal 1040 (and all schedules), Pennsylvania state PA-40, and local Earned Income Tax filings for Westmoreland County, Allegheny County, and surrounding jurisdictions. We also handle multi-state returns for clients who work across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland.
Both. Local clients are welcome to drop off documents in person at our office at 1781 Arona Road, Suite 3b. We also provide a secure encrypted document portal for clients who prefer to send everything electronically, and for our out-of-area clients across Pennsylvania and the rest of the country.
Once we have all your documents, most personal returns are prepared and ready for your review within 1–2 weeks. Returns involving small businesses, K-1s arriving late, or unusual situations can take longer. We let you know the expected timeline up front and keep you informed if anything changes.
Yes — Schedule C (sole proprietors and single-member LLCs), partnership 1065 returns, S-corp 1120-S returns, and the related K-1 reporting. We also help small business owners with quarterly estimated tax planning, depreciation strategy, and the year-round bookkeeping discipline that makes filing easier.
Yes. We prepare prior-year returns for clients who have fallen behind, and we file amended returns (Form 1040-X) when we identify missed deductions or errors in past filings. As an Enrolled Agent, we can also handle IRS correspondence and represent you in front of the IRS if a previous return triggers a notice.
Enrolled Agents are federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS at every level — examinations, collections, and appeals. If a return we prepared is audited, we handle the response and the representation directly. This is one of the practical advantages of working with an EA over a tax preparer who isn't licensed to represent clients.
No. While we're proud to serve Irwin, North Huntingdon, Greensburg, and the greater Pittsburgh area in person, we work with clients in all 50 states via our secure portal and video meetings. The federal tax code is the same wherever you live; we handle state filings for whatever state(s) apply to you.
Schedule an introductory call to discuss your return. We'll let you know if we're a good fit, what we'd charge, and what the process looks like. No commitment.
